Our dear colleague, and for a long time President of TOUK – for Life, Gunlög Lindén died on April 4, 2025 in a car accident during missionary work in Laos.
Gunlög was born on May 7, 1947 and grew up in a family that valued faith in Jesus. Her entire life was characterized by doing and following the gospel that Jesus Christ pointed to.
In her youth, Gunlög met her husband Willis. Gunlög and Willis had three children: Åsa, Anna and Tomas.
Gunlög showed throughout her life that faith is a firm confidence, a conviction of things not seen. Therefore, today we see the fruits of Gunlög's faithfulness and life. She stood against trends that put people in a bind. Gunlög had an ability to see behind facades and reveal negative trends and purposes.
Gunlög clearly showed that the gospel is not about thinking with the wallet, or for ego-driven purposes. That is why she saw results in life. She never stood in the way, but managed to show the path that is best for everyone, regardless of age.
Gunlög was strongly involved in the congregation she belonged to with her husband Willis.
She engaged in missionary work, where she baptized and lead young people to faith. People that others often disregard or don't count on.
Gunlög is still an example because of her life's work, where she put the message of Jesus first. In truth, Gunlög never retired in the usual traditional sense. She was active until the end.
Gunlög had a humble tone with an active heavenly power of action. She was a person who created peace by living the gospel. It didn't take many words to explain. Life itself explained the content.
In the midst of our great loss, we have the hope of once again seeing each other in Heaven.
We pay our respects to Gunlög's bright memory and share in the grief that has befallen those closest to her.
Gunlög's collaborator in the mission we have been given to spread the gospel of Jesus.
